Nuuuuuu don’t kill her….. ><
You better think of something or he will kill her and you are next. Either way you need to fire that gun first into something or someone.
What language are they speaking here? Can the researcher understand them?
Oops, I’ll have that fixed in a sec. I’m a bonehead, lol. There is supposed to be brackets around the text. To answer your question, Talos and Solus are speaking Asurian (their native language), they both are from a privileged upbringing, so they can speak English as well. The researcher cannot understand them.
For the record, when there is a scene with just Azatoth (or any other species for that matter), I won’t put brackets up (like the scene earlier with Talos and Rei). When they are talking around humans or aliens, the brackets indicate that they’re speaking two different languages.
Haha, it would be sooooo much easier if everyone spoke English, but I feel as if it’s more interesting if they have their own language.
My own preference would be for brackets whenever Asurian is being spoken for consistency, but I can see the logic in your approach.
I know that some comics in which multiple languages are present handle things differently by doing things like a different sort of speech bubble or typeface for different languages, while others go completely overboard and devise or translate the language being spoken and just provide subtitles. There’s certainly a wealth of ways to handle these things.
so sad .. i almost cried
That guy is cold blooded.
P.S- Does Asurians also do not leave UNARMED and CIVILIAN researchers?
With Azatoth its hit or miss, in this panel we can tell Talos is having an issue with it. Solus is just cold blooded and leaves nothing alive when he is fighting.
@Ian: I think I’ll go with your plan, it does seem to make more sense. I was over thinking it I guess.
Also, there’s an error on this page, I want to point this out before someone brings it up, lol. Talos is holding his rifle with his left arm in the last panel, I completed this panel at a different time than the others and I guess I wasn’t thinking. I’ll try to fix it as soon as I can… at least before it goes to print.
