Pre-Combat Jitters? Actually it’s a sane reaction to going back to combat environment, the body is tuning itself up, usually the night before you deploy. First night in you are keyed up too. Then on the third night all you want to do is sleep. as you really haven’t got any in the last two or three days. That’s what my experience was, pretty good portrayal.
Always use the five foot rule on waking someone like a nervous Agrippa, ten feet is better. Like the Bad Dream and bored look of Grey after he realized that he would of been dead. It’s like thinking “no quick movements and no threatening posture?” Ah ha! Bored should work.

I’m surprised somebody as paranoid as Agrippa apparently is would sleep with his back to the rest of the room. Obviously not a handicap in his ability to defend himself, though!
I love Grey’s bored expression. This is obviously not the first time he’s startled Agrippa… especially since Agrippa is equally nonchalant after the initial shock wears off.

I was in Tehran, Iran back in 78 through 79 and left 28 days before Komeni returned. We all slept with knives, as foreign nationals weren’t permitted to have guns. I still wake up ready to throw down sometimes. Sadly, I can totally relate to Agrippa’s reaction.

Always wake a vet up by, at most, shaking a foot, ready to leap backward. That hyper-alertness could take years to wear off, depending on the local support etc. Back from 2nd tour in RVN in ’70, my toddler daughters would slam the screen door and I would be behind the couch. Sounded JUST like a 122!
