Uh-oh, I’ve seen that look before. Violence is imminent. (Alex, panel 3)
Rachel
Surprised much, Grey?
Also, typo in 4th panel. Forgot another ‘m’ in remember!
Keeva
Meep! I see it too; reme(_)ber… Awesome eyes for Alexis in panel 3, btw. And I’m glad we’ve gotten around to Alexis’s backstory, I’ve been waiting for this. Good stuff.

Oops, fixed.

You know, everyone (myself included) have been predicting a display of badassery from Alex in the last few pages. It hasn’t happened. If LOOKS could kill, then yes, there would be significant death and destruction, but since that isn’t the case I think the calls for Alex to be starting a fight are just wishful thinking.
Simple fact is, Grey made the right call here. There’s no effectively resisting this ambush. Even if they took out the ones in the immediate vicinity (and with the Shadow Cabal member there, that’s unlikely) there are snipers and possible reinforcements. At this time, there isn’t much they can do that won’t just get them killed, unless the parameters of the scenario change significantly.
spas
excellent plot twist! come on agrippa, reinforcements, we need you now!
Matthew
@Ian Good point. If they wanted to do something they should have done it before te villians unarmed them. It seems now they have to go with the flow…

What is this, brains over brawn? The people demand a spectacle! The people want to see blood! Blood and games! Are we not entertained? Yeah, OK, we are entertained.
(It looks like the typo police missed the “everday” in the last panel. Send out the SWAT team.)

Argh, can’t believe I missed another one. I am the worst with typos, I swear I know how to spell… I really do 😛
