Great page this week. How do you capture recognisable expressions in your characters in your drawings with only a few lines?

I had myself a little rant about dealing with oranized crime over on the patreon feed when this strip came out over the weekend. It was kinda cathartic, actually.

Thanks! I think It’s important to know the anatomy of the face/head to properly illustrate the way the face contorts with expressions. This tutorial (by shingworks, creator of the Meek) showcases it quite well. http://fav.me/d1a2xlw

I kind of consider facial expressions the “acting” of comics, as deadpan characters with no emotion don’t really carry a scene that well.

what’s going on? isn’t eve kind of with agrippa? she has her hand on his chest. females don’t do that unless there’s something going on. what what what! also, eve is in on this plan with the general – her name was mentioned and now here she is – the subterfuge – i love it!

Eve and Agrippa are a thing, yes. She’s kind of the Princess Leia to his Han Solo. And I don’t believe she has any idea about what General Winters and this mysterious Eden organization are up to. It would run against her intrests to have dealings with a group that wishes to get rid of the Resistance so strongly, as she is pretty much one of its highest ranked members if I’m recalling my Terra correctly.

You might be mistaking Eden for Eve. We haven’t fully introduced him yet but we have name dropped him.

thank heavens yes! so Eden is an organization, not this woman. still slightly confused.
