You guys were pretty spot on in the comments last week! Drew and I didn’t want to say anything though because it would kind of give this entire page away. 😛

Judging from the guy driving it, Scumbag General would probably pass that “savings” on to the taxpayers.
G2BattleConvoy
Ah, I forgot about the bounty hunter. And the recording…
I really need to pay more attention to this AWESOME webcomic.

No worries, those pages were posted over 7 months ago so I could see how it could be easy to forget.
G2BattleConvoy
Wait, the same Eden Industries that Rachel works (or worked) for?
Oh, this is not going to end well…
http://Terra-comic.com/ Drew
Indeed.
G2BattleConvoy
Well, it’s a good thing they’re leaving, otherwise that bounty hunter would’ve had the chance to interrogate them, and that would not have been pretty…
Why must humanity be cold, heartless bastards?

Fairly certain that this is the tapping the comwire bit mentioned back in those pages, otherwise I’m fairly certain we would have seen this sorta thing before. I could be off on that though.

Thank you! Having to type everything twice because the lights are out ( putting 4 year old to bed). I tried to make this a reply to Balthazar’s comment.. that car is likely to wind up sporting bullet holes.
Also, Ms. Holly, you likely have a brighter than average audience ( not talking about myself in particular), first, it’s a webcomic, second it’s a Sci Fi comic that requires some thought to keep it all straight. Very well done!

Because making non-humans inhumane is too easy. It’s more shocking when creatures who should know better don’t… or won’t.
See, Drew (and Holly), I KNEW that storm foreshadowed something. I can smell the trouble on the wind already.
Seriously, G2, that is one way of phrasing the core question of the human condition. It can be argued that the whole of human drama, factual and fictional, revolves around that old the-wolf-you-feed-is-the-wolf-that-will-win struggle within us. And, I’d add, a certain “missing dimension” in the human experience.

General WINTERS…? Wow, missed that one. He probably rejoices in the pun. (Especially if he remembers who some say really won on the Russian front in WWII: as some put it, “General Winter”. You know, the same bad boy who beat Napoleon in the same region.)
Fusili
I’m getting a little better at not just gulping down the panels. With my first read I assumed that he’d bugged the house and was listening through a handheld device. I now see its actually his tie and he’s adjusting it before speaking to them. There’s a lot to see in your work Holly. Keep it up.
Does the General have to get in and out of his ride Dukes-of-Hazzard style or is there a door we can’t see? I do like the sculpted sides, reminds me of the Sinclair C5.
G2BattleConvoy
That is very much true. The situation of the war between the UEC and Asurian Empire actually reminds me of how bad the conflict between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance in Gundam SEED went. …And Battlestar Galactica.

There is a door (with a handle) but it is super hard to see as it is very small. You’d probably have to be at 100% zoom on the high res version to even see it properly.

Thanks! 😀
We’ve created a rather large universe here and it keeps getting bigger. This volume is introducing the final big bad villain so it should pull everything together (Volume one was more of an intro to the Resistance/UEC, vol 2 was focused on the Shadow Cabal). The codex actually benefits us as much as the readers as it keeps our information straight, it’s pretty easy to have continuity errors or other issues when you have so many characters with different motivations.

No, you are right. Gen. Blizzard 😉 here is just the distraction, as planned.
Xylas Incarnum
Hah, time for suspicion of this timely arrival and KAte to find the tap and exploit it… probably. Or make it send a false negative on any events or something. Either way, it’s probably going to make things a bit annoying for the pickup and go op for getting those two out of there.
Dusty Coyote
I cant resist…..
Like it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars.
G2BattleConvoy
At least it’s not as bad as a war with the Hive…

I think I remember once reading that for print works, you get about ten pages of backstory notes, character notes, universe notes, and abandoned concepts for each page of finished work.
As someone who’s been working sporadically on a book for the last two decades (including a universe change), I can respect the difficulty of keeping up with the bacground

Much like cornstarch added to water in a 2:1 ratio, the plot thickens…

So let’s get to taking out their command. One by one.
G2BattleConvoy
That reminds me, I need to go kick some space zombie ass…
G2BattleConvoy
Reminds me of a Story Development assignment I did for my Games Development course once. Took quite a bit of time to sort it out.

Well killing an old comrades family is one tried and true way of making new enemies.
