No pulling a fast one there man, I’m the one who put up a bet that big bro would show up or Rei would hand them their asses anyways. So we both called this. I just had an extra option so I’m not completely wrong if it doesn’t happen in one or the other. 😛

I suppose you are correct, since I checked the specific page on which we called it. Still, at least we can agree those Bounty Hunters are, as Blondie ironically said, “fucking *DEAD.*”

Besides, two Asurian civilians on the run since the Purge against three over-bloody-confident bounty hunters? No contest.

You gamers and ex-military types (and you more familiar with what Asurians and Asurian tech can and can’t do) can just go and make the popcorn then. I’ll sit here and watch just how Mr. Enter the Dragon over on the left takes out three bounty hunters, one of whom already has his rifle raised.

Not getting shot in that scenario is sommat easy. Just move faster than their reaction time to get within melee range. Since there’ll now be TWO dangerous targets now, as soon as that big lummox has been put down from around that corner the other two would be startled as Talos sorta darts around the corner to take out one of the other two. With them split, Rei should have no problem taking care of the one left if Talos doesn’t just take them both out in a fluid charge.

‘Course, I could be overestimating Talos’ capabilities at this point but if he hasn’t picked up some skill at brawling and some 1 vs group skills/tactics by now I’d be rather surprised/disappointed.

The time to move in is when the other two are starting to are just starting to notice that the big guy just got hit from around the corner by someone or something but can’t tell which yet.

I’m excluding possibilities that would be lethal to Rei for the obvious reason of: this is her flashback so her death is kinda… silly/non-canonical. … Wow canonical is an actual word in chrome’s dictionary? really? yet “Disappointed” doesn’t pop up in the correctly spelled word option for the spellchecker when I spell it with two S’s and one P. -___-“

I just have to take all y’all’s word for it. I wasn’t even aware enough to see how easily that knife could be snatched (not that it wasn’t kept in a dumb place anyway). When I work from my intuition, I spot stuff. When looking for hard facts? Eh, not so much… 😛

From what I can see in the last panel Blondie has put his large body between the rifle and small-target Rei. Glasses will most likely be occupied figuring out how to fix that, not watching for additional threats. If I were Talos, and trusted Rei, my first target would be glasses, and the gun.

With his current position, it’s… bang (rifleman dead), bang (big guy dead), then, “Finish the last one, Rei. You need the practice.”

That’s my ‘practical, minimal drama’ scenario. Admittedly, nowhere near as cool as several panels of blade-fu… :p

This year should be easier as we have the same booth setup from last year, the only thing I may end up changing is the big poster. I’m also planning on getting more prints (and to make sure to display them on an easel so they are at eye level) but that’s about it. Our booth isn’t as big this year so we should have an easier time filling the space.

I just wanted to make sure I had everything ready to go so there will be minimal stress during setup. Our to-do list isn’t as big this year but there are still a few things that need to be done so that we’re adequately prepared.
