Hey again! The torturer is being quite the creep in today’s update, but that seems to be pretty on brand for him.
I’ve been keeping busy the past couple weeks, I’m still trying to get a buffer of pages going again, but I’ve also been working on a few things on the side. I’ve redrawn a few of the character portraits that I worked on in October (the ones of Grey and Lex), I found my first attempts to be a tad overworked, so I decided to give them another go in a looser, more natural style. The first of which was Rick’s portrait, which is today’s vote incentive. One of the biggest changes I made was to how I draw hair, I tried to keep things softer and looser since drawing the outline and too much detail can make hair/beards look a bit pasted on.

Status Update: Feb 26th
Hey quick update here on the status of the comic. I’ve decided to go on a short hiatus to figure a few things out. I know this is a bit sudden, but I’ve been at a crossroads for the past few months about how I want to continue spending my limited energy and time. While I’ve been enjoying implementing my art lessons into the new pages, I just feel a bit stuck and hopefully taking this time will help me figure out how I want to move forward. I have a tendency to put my own needs dead last and I think, with how much work goes into a webcomic, I need to decide what’s the best option to keep me going long term. As always, no matter what I decide to do I will keep you guys in the loop.
