Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for your patience with today’s update. I’ve been dealing with a relatively mild relapse the past few weeks, as a result this page took much longer than normal, I didn’t want to push anything because my vision was started to get blurry for the first time in years. Luckily, I seem to have given myself enough rest so things seem to be on the mend, I’m still going to be fairly cautious though. I now know that I can’t just push myself when I’m sick, no matter how bad I want to work on something, not only does the quality of my work suffer but it ends up putting me down for weeks at a time when I do that, which is not exactly good for my productivity either. 😛
Anyway, this page was certainly a challenge! Drew and I had such a hard time coming up with a written sound for the alarm, there’s really not a whole lot of resources online when it comes to sound effects in comics so I kind of just had to wing it lol. It was fun to paint Lex and Rei again too.
In other news, there’s a new vote incentive for TopWebComics, it’s a preview of a poster I’m working on for volume 2 (for the remake). It’s a few weeks old at this point, so I might end up changing a couple things here and there but I wanted to share it anyway. I attempted to sketch a new look for both Solus and Talos (it’s not a drastic change, I just wanted them to look more unique). Speaking of the remake, I recently learned that you can host two comics on one website via wordpress/comicpress. I’m not 100% sure on how to go about doing that yet but it should mean that I can have both the remake and the old version available for you guys to read online, in the proper format.
