Hey everyone, welcome back to a new page! Agrippa’s in trouble, guess he’s not used to fighting an opponent with a mechanical arm, though I do think if David didn’t throw those handcuffs at that exact moment he’d be in for a world of hurt right about now. Drew and I joked that it was was similar to stunning a hard Dark Souls boss, you have like half a second to act or you’re dead lol.

There’s still a bit left for this scene, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.

Uhm… how did power-cuffs aimed like a tossed grenade at a hand clearly held in front of Agrippa ~ Suddenly become BOTH Hands secured at wrists behind his back and Agrippa suddenly on the Floor?!?!?

The cuffs separate and are tethered by a magnetic field. The cuffs have a small window when thrown but either way once they attach they release a charge effectively paralyzing the target and the cuffs snap together. Some of this is mentioned later but we just wanted to make sure there was no confusion.

In future stories, can we have a little bit more light, or go to a planet with some daylight? I’m having a hard time making out what’s going on lately…

We did notice the current page was a little dark on our TV, Holly went back and brightened it up but the others all look fine. We usually look at the pages on a few different monitors and the brightness is fine on those.

How long have you had this issue?

Looking at it in retrospect I could see how I could’ve made it a little clearer by adding a small extra panel (showing the restraint splitting and attaching to his wrists.) I’m probably just going to move on with the next page at this point but it’s something to keep in mind if I show this tech again.

It’s only been a few frames here and there, basically off and on since the lights went out in the station, whenever that was. It’s not too bad usually, just in the times when there’s action like in today’s frames 3, 5 and 6, there are details that I just can’t make out.
Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not criticizing, I understand the plot need for darkness, it’s supposed to be like this, I’m just having a harder time than most have, I guess. I really like the story and I am a patron, so if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t support you all! Just hoping the cast gets a chance to sunbathe once this story arc is over!

On one hand, this is a major setback. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure Agrippa is perfectly capable of kicking someone to death.

I second the extreme darkness of panels 3, 5 and 6. I really had to squint to see what was going on. For me, it just means that I don’t get to fully appreciate all work that went into drawing all those panels!

I brightened it up a bit more, so hopefully that helps make the page a bit more readable. I’ve been working on a new monitor/computer for the past couple months and it’s quite a bit brighter than my old display, so I’ve probably been making things darker as a result. I’ll try to keep that in mind with future pages, thank you for bringing this to my attention (and thank you for being a patron!)

Also, I agree the cast is due for a sunny vacation after all of this lol.
