Welcome back! It’s good to see Rei making more human friends, though Rick doesn’t seem too thrilled by her proposal to train Kate lol.
I’ve got my cintiq back! At first there was a little bit of an issue with the power button, but it seems fine now. I’m just thankful the warranty is 2 years, though I don’t really want to have to ship it to the US again. Hopefully it fares better now. 🙂
Other than that, there’s a new vote incentive for TopWebComics showcasing some character designs for Chapter 1 of Terra Incognita/The remake. The characters are from Grey’s unit (1st Recon), I wanted to draw both realistic and stylized versions of each, as I think the more stylized look conveys emotion more effectively. In the old comic, I didn’t really show any other soldiers apart from Grey (and to a much lesser degree his spotter, private Simpson), but this time around I wanted to show more of the people he served with, making their defeat on Aurora Prime all the more impactful. I’ve been polishing up the script for chapter 1 and I’m really happy with it, I can’t wait to start thumbnailing (though I still have a bit of work ahead of me before I get to that point), either way, I’m excited to share more with you guys soon.
